Sting and Trudie Styler’s Il Palagio Wines Land in the UK

09 Jul, 2025

If you want to taste the shape of Sting’s heart, look no further than Il Palagio, the Tuscan estate he and his wife, Trudie Styler, call home — now bringing its elegant wines to UK wine lovers.

Il Palagio, the wine estate owned by renowned singer Sting and his wife, actress and director Trudie Styler, is now offering its wines for direct-to-consumer sale in the UK for the first time, allowing wine lovers to bring a little bit of Tuscany home.

The historic 16th-century villa of Il Palagio, that the couple has meticulously refurbished since purchasing it in 1997, is tucked away in the hills of Tuscany’s Chianti Colli Fiorentini area. The estate is now a well-known producer of premium wines, olive oil, and honey because to Sting and Styler’s dedication to sustainable farming and their 11 hectares of replanted vines.

From their repertoire of 13 wines, five are now available to UK consumers via the Il Palagio website, sold by the case from £75 (6 x 75cl). Each bottle is imbued with the couple’s artistic flair, featuring names inspired by Sting’s iconic music catalogue, including Message In A Bottle, Sacred Love, and When We Dance.

Among the highlights are:

  • 2022 Message In A Bottle Vermentino IGT: A crisp white wine offering aromas of white fruit, apricot, almond, wild flowers, and herbs (£75 per case).

  • 2022 New Day, Rosato Toscana IGT: A delicate rosé with notes of raspberry, cherry, and a savoury finish (£75 per case).

  • 2020 Sacred Love, Rosso Toscana IGT: A Merlot with intense flavours of ripe cherry, liquorice, violet, and dark chocolate, boasting a refined palate (£336 per case).

Renowned oenologist Riccardo Cotarella oversees the winemaking process at Il Palagio, making sure that every vintage reflects the distinct terroir of the estate. In addition to wine, Il Palagio is a bustling agrotourism attraction with premium lodging, a pizza, a farm store, and the restaurant La Taverna dei Lupi, which serves casual street cuisine.

Il Palagio wines are not only available online but also grace the tables of top restaurants across Italy, including Rome’s three-Michelin-starred La Pergola.
