01 Jul, 2024

The iconic Saatchi Gallery in London is set to unveil a groundbreaking exhibition, “Metamorphosis: Innovation in Eco Photography & Film”, supported by the unconventional Italian winery, Pasqua Wines. This free-to-public gallery group show, running from May 24th to July 28th, 2024, promises to be a celebration of experimentation, process innovation, and the relentless push to unlock “eco-consciousness” in art.

Exhibition Metamorphosis

“Metamorphosis” will feature the works of four early-acclaimed eco-artists: Almudena Romero, Edd Carr, Hannah Fletcher, and Scott Hunter. Each artist has been selected for their innovative and unconventional approaches, as well as their early critical acclaim in the field of eco-conscious photography and film.

  • Almudena Romero: A British/Spanish visual artist known for exploring ways of seeing through photography. Her work has previously been showcased at prestigious institutions such as Tate Modern and the V&A Museum.
  • Edd Carr: An award-winning artist who uses moving images to depict responses to the ecological crisis. He has collaborated with Vivienne Westwood and won the Channel 4 Random Acts Award.
  • Hannah Fletcher: A London-based artist who incorporates waste in her photographic explorations. She is the founder of the Sustainable Darkroom, a worldwide artist-led movement developing low-toxicity photographic processes.
  • Scott Hunter: A multidisciplinary artist known for his experimental photography and ecological research. Hunter has held solo exhibitions in prestigious galleries across Asia, North America, and Europe.
