It’s only April, yet 2018 is already shaping up to be an incredibly exciting year for Winerist and we can’t be happier to tell you about it…
We’ve always known that wine lovers aren’t only interested in wine; they’re into food, travelling, spirits, cocktails, good times and good lifestyle. And as we broaden our horizons even further into the world of spirits, we’ve found a way to do that in real style.
Enter ‘The Three Drinkers Do Scotch’: a travelogue romp around Scotland exploring the country’s most famous export. This is no simple whisky documentary however, with beardy men sniffing an swirling. Oh no. This is Scotch for a new generation; one that wants to get to grips with the true nature of the spirit by exploring all the other delights such a stunning location has to offer. From cosy B&Bs with open fires to the grandest golf clubs and spa hotels, from traditional ceilidh dances to track days in a Land Rover, the three drinkers promise to do drinks differently. By substituting heavy technical jargon with visual references and personality, they take the viewer on an effortless journey through the key styles and key regions for Scottish whisky and show the world what else you can do once you get to this dramatic part of the world.
Winerist are delighted to be the official media partner for The Three Drinkers Do Scotch. Our own Head of Content Helena Nicklin will help create and present the series alongside Adrian (Aidy) Smith, her partner in drinks crime (The Independent, Sypped, Vivino, DrinkMe) and Colin Hampden-White (acclaimed drinks writer, editor, photographer and ‘Keeper of the Quaich’).
Joining forces on this exciting whisky project is the natural next step for Winerist. We can’t wait to build on our Scottish and whisky offering to support the project and help it become a whisky experience that will end up being so much more than a simple television series.
