Grüner Veltliner and Zweigelt
About 2/3 of Austria’s vineyards are white varieties with the most important one Grüner Veltliner with c.30% of the vineyards. The remaining 1/3 are red varieties with the main one being Zweigelt occupying c.14% of the vineyards.
