Nobu Hotel Barcelona Celebrates Catalonia’s New Culinary Crown with a Seasonal Omakase Experience
Big news for food lovers: Catalonia has just been named the very first World Region of Gastronomy for 2025 – and Nobu Hotel Barcelona is celebrating in the most delicious way possible.
To mark this honour, the hotel has launched Omakase Barcelona, a seasonal tasting menu that blends local Catalan flavours with Nobu’s world-renowned Japanese techniques. Think Tuna Tataki with Truffle Tosazu, Wild Mediterranean Seabass with Spelt Squid Ink, and a Mango and Ginger Ile Flottante – each dish designed to spotlight seasonal, sustainable ingredients.
Sustainability is more than just a trend here. A remarkable 79% of the food and drink served at Nobu Barcelona comes from local Catalonian producers. It’s a clear nod to the values behind Catalonia’s new title, awarded by the International Institute of Gastronomy, Culture, Arts, and Tourism – which highlights regions that champion health, education, sustainability, and food culture.
With Omakase Barcelona, Nobu offers more than just a menu – it’s a celebration of Catalonia’s culinary heritage with a global twist. Bon profit!
The Nobu Barcelona ‘Omakase Barcelona’ menu is priced at 149€ (£125) per person and is available until 30 April. Please find more information and bookings here
