November 11th was our 2nd birthday, and like any proud parent, we threw a birthday bash to rival all birthday bashes.

It was a night filled with fine wines, delicious cheeses and some first-class entertainment.

Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate with us; we had a great night and, judging by the photos, you all did too.

We would also like to thank our sponsors and partners who provided the incredibles wines, foods and gifts which were enjoyed by all.

At your request here are the top 12 wines of the event:

ITALY

Prosecco di Valdobbiadene Bertiol, extra dry – Delicate apple and yeasty characters – soft and enjoyable. Made with Prosecco di Valdobbiadene grapes, this has a straw colour and small, attractive bubbles. Light, fruity aromas of fresh green apples and pears plus a hint of yeastiness on the nose lead to a creamy, softly sparkling palate with some nutty richness on the finish. An excellent example of the style.

MOLDOVA

Purcari Wines

Pinot Grigio de Purcari 2013 The relatively pale colour with green highlights suggests this will be Pinot Grigio in the Italian mode, but the nose and palate deliver a far more Alsatian experience, full-bodied, almost viscous, with exotic and candied fruit notes and an engagingly savoury note on the finish that makes this a perfect foil for white meats as well as full-bodied fish dishes. No oak. £9.99 per bottle / case of 12 for £7.99 a bottle. Order with Winerist.
