Down here, rows of lavender give the fresh seaside air a floral fragrance, and there is a distinct sense of nonchalance. Locals can always be found at the weekly markets browsing fresh ingredients or chatting to the stall owners, whilst the faint clinking of Pétanque balls can be heard in the background. By the sea, the Côte d’Azur’s beaches bustle with families, both local and from elsewhere, basking in the warm Mediterranean sun and splashing about in the water to cool down. In town the streets echo lively conversations, which are most likely accompanied by a bottle of wine and some amuse-bouche, whereas pretty, peaceful paths provide the perfect route for a relaxed stroll through the Provençal landscape filled with vineyards, olive trees and sunshine.
