Vivino’s Top Red Wine Styles Drank Around the World

16 Jan, 2015

Have you ever wondered which red wines are enjoyed across the globe? What do they drink most in Spain or how about Japan? Thanks to our friends at Vivino, we’ve put together this infographic charting what’s being drank and where! What do you think – is it what you expected?

Our conclusions based on this

  • Many countries prefer to drink homegrown wine. In France they are mostly drinking French wine while in the States they are mostly drinking Californian wine…
  • In places where red wines aren’t typically produced, the locals seem to mostly enjoy Old World wines
  • The top 3 wines in all four countries profiled in Europe are Old World wines

Do these results match what you drink when you’re at home?
